Ingredients
  

  • - 227g 2 sticks, 1 pound unsalted butter
  • - 400g 2 cups brown sugar
  • - 375g 3 cups sifted powdered sugar
  • - 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • - 1 can 5 oz., 0.3 pounds evaporated milk
  • - 120g 1 cup pecans or walnuts, roughly chopped
  • - Non-stick spray as needed
  • - 1/4 tsp salt

Instructions
 

  • Grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan with non-stick spray and line with parchment paper.
  • Whisk butter and brown sugar over medium-low heat until melted (2-3 minutes).
  • Add evaporated milk; boil, then cool for 30 minutes.
  • Mix vanilla extract, salt, then beat in powdered sugar.
  • Fold in chopped nuts and transfer to the loaf pan.
  • Refrigerate 20 to 25 minutes until set, then slice and serve.

Notes

- For a nut-free Easy Penuche Fudge Recipe, omit the nuts.
