Sausage and Tater Tot Breakfast Bake! Combining the zest of breakfast sausage with the hearty crunch of tater tots, this casserole is the ultimate crowd-pleaser.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 lb 900g hot breakfast sausage
  • 1 bag 30-32oz or 850-900g frozen tater tots
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp onion powder
  • 1-1/2 cups 170g shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup 60g mozzarella cheese
  • 8 eggs
  • 2 cups 475mL milk

Instructions
 

  • Start by preheating your oven to 350ºF (175ºC) and lightly grease a 9x13-inch pan.
  • Cook the breakfast sausage in a large skillet until fully browned. Make sure to drain off the excess fat.
  • Combine the tater tots, cooked sausage, and cheeses in a large bowl. Transfer this mix into your greased pan.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, and seasonings. Pour this mix over the tater tot and sausage layer.
  • If you're planning to bake it later, cover and store in the refrigerator.
  • Bake for about 60-70 minutes, uncovered, or until the eggs are fully set.

Notes

Feel free to play around with the ingredients, maybe add some veggies or swap out the cheese types to suit your preferences.
