Ingredients
  

  • Diced chicken 450g/2.5 cups
  • Italian seasoning 1 tsp
  • Garlic salt 3/4 tsp
  • Pepper 1/4 tsp
  • Olive oil 2 tbsp
  • Broccoli florets 2 cups
  • Dry rotini pasta 3 cups
  • Condensed cream of mushroom soup 297g/10.5 oz.
  • Sour cream 227g/8 oz.
  • Milk 1/2 cup
  • Sharp white cheddar cheese 2 cups, shredded
  • Regular cheddar cheese 1 cup, shredded
  • French's crispy fried onions 1 cup

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Season chicken with Italian seasoning, garlic salt, and pepper. Heat oil in a skillet and cook the seasoned chicken.
  • Add broccoli to the skillet and continue cooking until the chicken is fully cooked.
  • Cook rotini pasta as per package instructions, but reduce the cooking time by 1 minute to keep it al dente.
  • In the same pot, combine cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, milk, and sharp white cheddar cheese. Stir well.
  • Add the drained pasta and the chicken-broccoli mixture to the pot. Combine well.
  • If needed, transfer the mixture to a casserole dish, sprinkle with regular cheddar cheese and bake for 25 minutes.
  • Remove the cover, sprinkle crispy fried onions, and bake for another 8 minutes. Serve hot.

Notes

You can substitute cream of mushroom soup with cream of chicken soup.
Other pasta shapes can also be used.
