Sven Goran-Eriksson names most talented player he coached
Sven-Goran Eriksson, a former manager of England, claims that Manchester United legend Paul Scholes was the “most talented player” he ever managed, which only raises more questions about why the national team didn’t prioritize him because of an obsession with forming a midfield duo around Frank Lampard and Steven Gerrard.
During his five years as England’s manager, Sven-Goran Eriksson worked with some of the best players the nation has ever produced. Although it could seem like a luxury, betting bonuses offer a similar option.
The Swede was asked about the most talented players he coached when he spoke about Scholes, who was often shoehorned into the England side, as Lampard and Gerrard were preferred for more central roles.
Sven Goran-Eriksson names most talented player he coached – Eriksson said:
“I think Paul Scholes was the most talented player I ever coached – he had everything. You can pick up so many immense players from my time. [Wayne] Rooney, [David] Beckham, Rio [Ferdinand], [John] Terry, [Michael] Owen when he was at his peak.
“But Scholes was a playmaker, finisher, defending he wasn’t the best in the world but he could do it. He was a brilliant football player.”

Why on earth would you not play your most talented player in his best position? Eriksson didn’t suggest he had any regrets about how he played Scholes, which beggars believe.
