Cristiano Ronaldo, a Portuguese football star, has reacted to Manchester United’s decision to break ways with him.

Following the contract termination, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner issued a statement in which he “wishes Manchester United success.”

In his debut season at United, the former Juventus forward scored 18 goals in the domestic league and 23 goals overall.

The dance, however, was never successful since a heated interview that claimed the Red Devils had “betrayed” him was made public.

The Portugal talisman granted an interview to a broadcast journalist, according to a previous report by. The broadcast journalist later admitted that the star was frustrated when the interview was conducted.

Manchester United said in a statement after the first segment of the interview that a decision would be taken following a thorough investigation.

On Tuesday, the club declared that an agreement had been reached and that it had mutually decided to part ways with the Portuguese.

In response to the firing, Ronaldo wished his boyhood club well and said his passion for the team and the supporters would never waver.
