Burna Boy wins Best African Act at 2022 MTV Europe awards

Nigerian Music famous singer, songwriter, performing Artist, and record producer “Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu”, professionally known by his stage name Burna Boy, has been awarded the ‘Best African Act’ category at the 2022 MTV Europe Music Awards (EMAs).

Ayra Starr, Black Sheriff, Tems, Zuchu, and Musa Keyz were also nominated in the same category as Burna Boy.

Following a hugely successful 2022, Burna beat off other nominees such as Ayra Starr (Nigeria), Black Sherif (Ghana), Musa Keys (South Africa), and Zuchu (Tanzania) to earn the honor.

At the ceremony, which took place at the PSD Bank Dome in Düsseldorf, Germany, Taylor Swift won four honors. For “All Too Well (10 Minute Version) (Taylor’s Version),” Taylor Swift won several prestigious prizes, including “Best Artist,” “Best Video,” “Best Pop,” and “Best Long-form Video.”

Nicki Minaj was awarded “Best Song” for “Super Freaky Girl” and “Best Hip Hop,” while Harry Styles won ‘Best Live’.
