When questioned about Cristiano Ronaldo, the captain of Portugal, perhaps joining the Saudi Arabian club, Al-sporting Nassr’s director Marcelo Salazar emphasized that the future will be disclosed when the moment was perfect.
Following his controversial conversation with British journalist Piers Morgan in November, Ronaldo left Manchester United by mutual consent.
The five-time Ballon d’Or winner slammed Man United from the very bottom to the very top as he criticized the club’s board, Erik ten Hag, and youngsters, among others.
The 37-year-old, who has been without a club for the past few weeks, has been linked with a move to Al-Nassr.

Salazar, though, said of speculations linking Ronaldo to Al-Nassr: “I am not allowed to say yes or no. Let’s wait till the end of the year to see how things develop.
“As you must appreciate, this is a negotiation that requires the involvement of higher authorities because of its enormous significance not just for the club but also for the nation and world football. I can only argue that Cristiano Ronaldo is among the best players in football history.
“He has always been an example to me as an athlete for the will he shows to win. And then, as a Portuguese citizen, I always cheered for him. But when the time is right, the future will be revealed.”
